Manasi Scott kick-started her professional singing career with Pune’s hottest rock band Dark Water Fixation that was offered an international recording contract with Sony in the 1990’s while she was still in school. With a plethora of stage performances under her belt since the age of 8 as a singer, actor, dancer and master of ceremonies, it was not long before her stage performing prowess with the band took them all over the Country. She talks to The Post India and shares her Friday plans in an exclusive interview.
What is your plan for the weekend?
I’m in Pune. I’ll be horse-riding all weekend with AK Sport Horses And Equestrian Centre.Riding in the wild is an experience like none other and I try and get as much of it as possible!
What are three things you are most grateful for this Friday?
A roof over my head.
Food in my belly.
The health of my family and me.
What song are you enjoying the week?
I’ve been hooked on Kochi by Sultan + Shepard
What’s your weekend morning routine?
The same as the week mostly. I’ve led a very disciplined last 10 weeks.I wake up at 4.50 am and meditate and chant and then go horse-riding.When I’m in Bombay, that’s followed by a 7kms walk but in Pune I ride in the wild longer so I don’t end up walking as much. Post this, in Bombay some days I train in Muay Thai with my amazing sensei Susovan Ghosh but in Pune I do the Tibetan Rites and some yoga.Until Day 139 I had a daily live concert from home but I decided to take a short break to rest the vocal chords and wrap my recording work and try some new things. Will keep you posted!!
What does weekend self-care look like for you?
A massage. A fabulous needling and cupping and release session with my amazing Physiotherapist Chetna.I catch up with friends, binge watch shows and try and rest a little more!

What facemask do you absolutely love?
I’ve recently discovered LESS via the Conscious Market India and their Rosy Cheeks face mask is just yummy!!

The comments I received by Bieber trolls for calling out his awful show in Bombay!!

Red wine and gooey cold chocolate desserts.

Be kind. Never lie. Don’t be afraid to show who you really are. Don’t be ashamed of who the world thinks you are. Follow your heart. Don’t give up. Wherever you go, what ever you do, BE love.
