I do a talk called: “Believe The Dots Will Connect.” It was 30 years in the making. Yep, True. It’s about our journey in life. What it’s all about? What are we supposed to be doing? And why haven’t a lot of us figured it out? Rest assured, you’re not alone in this. You hear a lot about finding your “why.” Personally, I feel the “why” is overrated. Don’t get me wrong, it’s important to know your ‘why’ however I think we get too bogged down in trying to figure it out.
Rather, instead, I’m suggesting you try something a little different. If you start to really listen to yourself – void of outside distraction, influences and noise, you’ll start to take action toward ‘that thing,’ that thing that jives you. THEN you’ll start to say; “Ohhhhh that’s WHY.” You see what I mean?
There are clues everywhere in our lives. But where? How? Where do you start?
Ok, so let’s dig a little deeper into what that could look-like for you. In working with people I’ve learned that we tend to put ourselves on auto-pilot. In fact, we’ve been on auto-pilot for so long that I bet many of us can’t remember who ‘we’ really are.
The bigger question is, “Have you ever really gotten to know the real you.?” Most of us spend more time trying to find a show on Netflix then to take the time to try and figure ourselves out. Sadly, it takes a catastrophic event before we decide to wake up to ourselves.
It’s not easy putting the pieces together. We have a lot of history being ‘us.’ The us we think we kinda sorta know. With all of this, comes a lot of memories, good, bad and ugly that have been tattooed on our brain.
Look, you’re not going to solve all the mysteries of ‘you’ in one sitting. It takes time. Years. Some maybe never. And yet, I’m here to reassure you that you are not lost. You just need to look in places that you haven’t gone before.
It has to start with you. It has to start by writing down all the things that you’re NOT willing to do. Yep, I said it, NOT willing to do. I find when you start by weeding things out first, it gets you a lot closer to what it is that you want for yourself.
Once you sit down and begin the process of taking action toward what it is that puts a smile on your face, it is then that things will start to positively unravel.
No one said it would be easy, as you need to start listening for those vibes that give off a vibration that only you can hear. They’re there. Start trusting yourself more.
The ‘you’ that you should be focusing on will reveal itself once you’re open to receiving. This isn’t woo woo stuff. This is a process by which you need to take action in order to change the course of your life where you’re thriving not surviving.
Start taking steps toward yourself.
