What is your plan for the weekend?

This weekend is packed, but in a good way. I am going to be spending quite a bit of time with the horses, riding and just relaxing at the stables with my best friend. I have some really fun weekend workouts planned as well, for myself and my clients.
In addition to that, I have a mini picnic planned with a friend to a dive shop on Sunday to check and buy some dive gear and test it in the pool, to make sure it is all working well.

What are the precautions you have taken to reopen your studio?

Luckily for us, even before the pandemic, we had a lot of protocols in place to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. As a Pilates and EMS studio we have always had a one person one equipment per class policy, to ensure there is no sharing of equipment between a session, which solves a big problem of having to use multiple workstations and equipment. All equipments are sanitised thrice after the class, once by the client using it, once by the trainer in charge and once by the hospitality team. We also have a minimum 10-15 minutes gap between every class, the studio is aired out, as well as thoroughly cleaned and to ensure minimum interaction with other people. All our trainers, and staff are regularly checked, and are always wearing a mask and maintaining distance. At the moment we are running only private or duet classes, which ensures a more than 8-10 feet distance between people. Every person has their own area/room at the studio. We also have multiple hand sanitisation stations, and do a temperature and oxygen level check at entry. And as always, all classes are against appointments only.

What was the first feeling of going back to work?

I have worked from home throughout the pandemic, taking loads of classes online and seeing most of my clients on a regular basis. However, being at the studio, seeing people in person and training on the reformer and other equipment at the studio feels surreal, I love it! I remember the first class with each client that came to the studio. Everyone, including me, was super emotional and thrilled to be at the studio.

What are the three things you are most grateful for this Friday?

Life, every person in my life, and every little thing I get to do and experience in life!

What advice do you have for any kid who looks up to you?

Live life with no regrets. Follow your dreams, take chances because we never regret the chances we take, we only regret the ones we didn’t. Rather live a life with “oh well” than “what if”.

Where are you going on vacation when the pandemic is over?

Probably Mexico! To dive, party and practice Spanish.
