Are you always excited about new restaurants coming up in your city? And why not? They offer a whole new range of unique and Insta-worthy dishes amid chic and aesthetic interiors. That’s not all. They give oodles of quirky content for our social media feeds too. To get you sorted, we recently visited Short Stories in Bandra and here is why you should go there soon.. Read on to know the deets.
Situated on Linking Road in Khar West, Short Stories is a cosy gastro pub that specialises in Continental and Italian cuisines. Given that it’s on one of the busiest roads, but tucked away, the founders have created a space that can mean what the guest wants it to be. A space for day dreaming, grabbing a solo drink / meal, playing bespoke board games, mindless banter & fun workshops.
A space for the creative, artsy sort who are comfortable in being low key. When it comes to food, the team has taken the routes of choosing flavours over a cuisine & are unabashedly multi-cuisine in a mindful way. The menu represents the evolution from old school but now uncool dishes like gymkhana chilly chicken & grilled chicken in traditional Demi glacé sauce that was hugely popular in the 90’s to current Instagram staples like avocados, edamame & truffle based dishes. They have kept in mind the growing demand of plant-friendly, vegan and Keto.
The cocktail program follows a similar route but consciously stays away from cloyingly sweet cocktails & represents modern techniques like smoking / fat washing minus the needless intellectualisation of the menu.
The food & drinks at a neighbourhood bar are supposed to be about fun & not about seeing & being seen!
