What’s something they don’t teach you in University that you should probably know?

An exploring mind can attain any education. Ideas come from knowledge and imagination, but success can come only by grit. And the measure of success cannot only be by the benchmark given in books and studies.

First thing you do as soon as you wake up?

Stretch – body and mind

What do you hope to see happen in the near future for small businesses in the country?

They become more professionally competent and driven. They will be the driver for customised and bespoke service and products.

What was your biggest stroke of luck since the launch of your company (s)?

When the fittest couple in India -Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma signed up for their nutrition plans at QUA Nutrition clinics.

If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

If you cannot enjoy the journey, then find another path.

What do you typically read?/ Favourite book?

A lot of books related to specific subject knowledge. Current and some time favourite- Tribe of mentors by Tim Ferriss. Widens your thought process immensely.

The best boss you had and what did you learn from them?

My last boss – an agitated mind can never defuse a crisis.

One thing you learned about your self?

That I am limitless.

How do you keep your team motivated & engaged?

A team of mostly women, our motivation is constantly derived from each other. Each member is a mentor and an advisor to their clients and hence, reminding them to use their advice on themselves. Sharing our clients and employees success stories is a huge motivator. Constant training on new skills, mental health and fitness training programs plays a huge role in keeping the spirits high.

New Years Resolutions?

Decisions do not wait for a date and time. They need to be made with the pace of business and life. I do not wait for any specific date and time to make my choices. I believe in making every moment count.

How do you maintain work/life balance?

Effective planning and anticipation help in maintaining a balance needed for clarity of thought in both work and family life. Technology, systems, support structures that I have build help me seamlessly glide from work to self-time in a day. Also, building a robust leadership team that is effective makes balancing work life easy.

A childhood memory that shaped something you do in your business today?

The ability to question as a child has carried on. In business, it shapes the way that I need to understand every concept, so that decision making is made with appropriate risk evaluation.
